What does an Account Director do at Hogarth? 

The Account Director (AD) will support the Global Lead on a prestigious technology client for EMEA. He/She/They plays an active role in running the team operations, and supports the team in the execution of world-class marketing communications. As the regional Client’s central point-of-contact, the AD holds overall responsibility for the relationship while ensuring Hogarth teams are engaged and motivated to perform.

The role is very operational and will also require someone who has demonstrable experience working under pressure. Possessing strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail are critical factors for success in the role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Client management
  • Possesses a strong understanding of and consistently delivers against all contractual
  • obligations, commercial arrangements, KPIs and SLAs with the Client
  • Operational planning and reviews
  • Lead by example, embracing the Hogarth values through interactions with the
  • immediate team, broader teams and management
  • Provides a link into Global activity, representing the region and ensuring alignment
  • Conflict resolution
  • Resource Management
  • Works with senior management to ensure teams are engaged and motivated to perfor
  • Assists in recruiting and staffing
  • Plans and coordinates training/on-boarding for incoming and existing teams
  • Conducts and manages performance appraisals
  • Work with the leadership team to instill the Hogarth values and build the Hogarth
  • culture
  • Assists with one-on-one management / mentoring
  • Ongoing engagement with key bench staff
  • Point of escalation for Hogarth internal teams
  • Supports the Global Lead with Finance Management and business growth
  • Supports regional affiliate agreements
  • Quarterly budget planning, re-forecast. reconciliation and analysis
  • Monitors budget utilisation across teams and flag issues internally
  • Monitors financial health to ensure the account’s sustainability
  • Manages resourcing across teams by monitoring utilisation and productivity
  • Ensures full compliance with all financial procedures and policies
  • Manages and maintains a continuous focus on cost and revenue
  • Meets/exceeds KPI targets

Requirements

  • Client services experience with a solid account management background across print and video
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Focus on continuous improvements, delivering excellent quality and high levels of
  • customer service
  • Agency experience managing international clients in multiple markets with multiple
  • stakeholders
  • Experience of working across different work streams and ability to switch between
  • processes with ease
  • Experience of running an account team including resource planning
  • Experience in the language industry desired
  • Prior people management experience
  • Negotiation skills
  • Problem solver
  • Good networking skills
  • Strong level of adaptability and prioritisation skills
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
  • Strong English speaking and writing skills are essential
  • Knowledge of another language is a plus but not mandatory
